After we walked in one beach side disco, the music was obnoxiously loud, people were dancing with stupid little balloons, and you could NOT hear what the other person was saying...
We shrugged our shoulders alot before deciding to just leave.
It became a consenses that we are too old for such things...... (fine with me!)
So we progressed down the sidewalk, and that is when Julie spied the Bungee Jump contraption and started plotting her demise. She made a concrete unchangeable decision to JUMP! Not that night, thank Goodness, but later....... We eyed all around it. It looked safe enough. A swimming pool beneath, and people regularly jumping and surviving.........
I tried to figure (ahead of time) how in the world would or could I photograph this event......
and still tryed my best to talk Julie out of it!
She was plummeted with questions like..."Wont it hurt?" "What if the rope breaks?" "Wont it jolt your insides?"....... nothing was to deter her though. She was going to jump, but just not that night.
Passing Pinatas and Pirates...... and Chilangos....we walked the sidewalks, until Chuy found a stairway to the beach. That was where we settled down to watch a Polynesian type fire dance on the beach, avoid the Beach guardians(glowing eyes in the dark) which turned out to be local beach bum dogs. And, all in all ended another very full day, crammed to the hilt with activities. I was wondering to myself, WHEN could we just CHILL OUT and relax?
I guess I needed to put in a request to my Commandante... I needed some R&R from our R&R!!!
Sorry dude!
Dont worry about it Julie, she is only wood!
Yes, we are still in love...! Shhhhhhh
They disguise their backup safety feature with pretty little waterfalls, but it doesn't fool me..... you wont get me up one rung of that bungee contraption! I am staying on the ground... someone has to be the photographer !
Bungee contraption......
Fire dancing...... reminds me of Hawaii!
Watching and listening to their chants, and feeling like I am back in Hawaii! This was Polynesian, not AZTECAN! Whats wrong with these people anyway? Get the cultures right!
Are you
relaxed YET Julie?
Chuy keeping guard... walking the perimeter.
They guarded us the entire time, and when other stray dogs came near us, they ran them off! I don't know why they took to us like they did.... but, when someone would stroll by, they would look and kinda growl. They had decided that we were on their watch that night!
REMEMBER THIS MATT?????
Getting sleepy, tired, and done for the day! Lets head home guys..... thoughts of sleep, lullaby songs from the ocean below, and warm sea breezes as we fall asleep......... LETS GO HOME NOW!!!

HOME SWEET HOME.
This is just ONE of the steep streets that wind up the mountain. The streets go pert near STRAIGHT up for a while, then across, the back to STRAIGHT up..and so forth. An Engineering marvel...but, one that I was getting used to.
Seems the Mexicans are quite good at making something out of cliffs and mountainsides and rocks! It is quite the workout, and muscle burn to simple walk up and down these streets... and Chuy claims that as a child, he used to RUN up them to hurry home after swimming in the morning, just to get ready for school...and run back down to catch the bus.....and again run back up after school to change his clothes, to run back down to the beach to swim, and after swimming for hours, run back up home to eat! Sigh...makes me tired just writing about it, but, it stands to reason with all that constant exercise that their health is good, and you don't see many fat people living on that mountain!
