And then we have this...

Thousands of patriotic Americans, for the pursuit of the freedoms of all peoples, have pledged their lives to serve in our Military.  In the face of war, they do not back down...they sign up and enlist and serve, often at risk of their lives, and more often than not, at loss of limb, never to be again what they once were.
They don't ask for Glory or sympathy, and especially not your pity.
They are warriors...the true warriors of the land..................

Many a soldier that I have talked to answers me this..." I go there to fight the enemy, so they (the enemy) wont come here.  I go to keep YOU safe, so YOU don't have to fight.

They lay down their lives, to save ours.   To preserve our freedoms, and rights.  They believe in their American Flag, and salute it.  They stand to attention when  a Flag is brought into the room, and they die defending it.......

And, in surfing around on the Internet, I come upon a picture like this.....and wonder why?  Do our soldiers serve, face death and loss of all familiar to them, often sacrificing limbs and time away from their families.... for this?

This man in this picture...is he what our soldiers are fighting for?
